This chess board is a commissioned design made by Rechapados Ferrer of Spain, featuring high-grade veneer construction and beautiful black anegre around the border and edges of the board. At 23.6 inches in width and with a square size of 2.4 inches, this deluxe chess board is substantial in size.

The playing surface is made from veneer squares of jet black anegre and light maple wood. The chess board is then finished in a rich, deep gloss lacquer, creating a playing surface with the deepest of blacks. Perfect for accompanying chess pieces with king heights of 1.6 to 4.5 inches.
